The GARDNER DENVER 5017829 spin-on separator assembly is located on the lubrication system and separate the compressed air from the residual oil coming out of the compression bloc, sometimes it can be mounted on a valve bloc including the thermostat and the minimum pressure valve.
Because the spin-on separator is working at rated pressure it also needs the be built at the correct pressure rating for safety.
Air oil separators have a major impact on the performance of a compressed air system. Higher differential pressure will create higher energy consumption, excessive oil carry-over will result in higher compressor maintenance cost and extra downstream equipment filtration replacement.
